project creatortrack social platforms expansion 20260715T155522

Update to the CreatorTrack social platforms expansion project (supersedes the 2026-07-15 'blocked on missing credentials file' state in project_creatortrack_social_platforms_expansion.md).

The existing 'forge' Meta system user (set up 2026-07-13) already had full permissions on the Gus the Bass Facebook Page (including analytics) and its linked Instagram account (@gus_the_bass, 704k followers), with a never-expiring system-user token. No Meta developer app, OAuth flow, or app review was needed to start ingesting real data. M1 (seed connections + first live fetcher test) ran successfully against this token with zero code changes to lib/instagram.ts/lib/facebook.ts.

A parallel 'Meta ingest' lane was opened on branch feat/social-meta-ingest (own dev slot :3068, own DB, added to the dev-slot reaper's protect list) so it wouldn't destabilize the converging main YouTube-extraction branch. Plan file: creatortrack-social-meta-ingest-2026-07-15.md, phases M1 (seed+test, done) -> M2 (per-video rows, full 499-post IG+FB backfill with watch-time retention proxy) -> M3 (cross-post matcher) -> M4 (UI polish).

TikTok remains the only platform still blocked on Justin: he must create a developers.tiktok.com app (Login Kit + Display API products, scopes user.info.basic/user.info.profile/user.info.stats/video.list, redirect URI https://app.creatortrack.ai/api/social/connect/callback) and drop the client key/secret into ~/.forge-secrets/creatortrack-social.env. TikTok's basic API has no watch-time data regardless.

Why: changes the near-term plan, Meta prototyping can proceed immediately with real data instead of waiting on a Meta app; only TikTok has a human-gated setup step left.

How to apply: before re-proposing Meta OAuth app setup work, check whether META_SYSTEM_USER_TOKEN access is still sufficient (it was as of 2026-07-15) rather than assuming a dev app is required. Check whether ~/.forge-secrets/creatortrack-social.env now has TIKTOK_CLIENT_KEY/SECRET before re-asking Justin to create the TikTok app.
