project gusthebass workspace admin alias 20260715T131913

name: Gus The Bass LLC identity: [email protected] should be an alias, not a Group description: gusthebass.com Google Workspace admin@ role address decision, pending swap from Group to alias type: project

Justin is setting up [email protected] as the shared login identity for the Gus The Bass LLC (affiliates, SOSDirect, bank, IRS mail). A Google Group was created first but is the wrong tool (no login, no 2FA, mail copies to all members including Michael). The correct pattern: make [email protected] an alias of [email protected] — one login, 2FA lands with Justin only, no extra $7/mo seat, and it's reassignable to Michael later with a 2-minute change. Team-inbox addresses (hi@, support@) should stay Groups; only login/2FA addresses should be aliases. As of session end, the Group still existed and had NOT yet been swapped to an alias — that swap plus the SOSDirect signup are the next steps. Separately, gusoutdoor.co is a fully separate Workspace org (not a secondary domain of gusthebass.com) with its own paid seats (admin@, justin@, michael@); consolidating it into the gusthebass.com org as a secondary domain was identified as worthwhile cleanup but deliberately deferred until after the LLC filing (Texas RA-only -> Form 205 $300 -> EIN with Michael as responsible party -> operating agreement) to avoid stalling the LLC on a mail-cutover migration.

Why: Justin wants one login usable across affiliate/business logins that Michael can inherit later, without paying for an extra seat, and wants 2FA codes landing in his own inbox for now. How to apply: Before doing more Workspace/domain work on gusthebass.com or gusoutdoor.co, check whether the admin@ alias swap and gusoutdoor.co consolidation actually happened — this was an open decision, not yet executed as of 2026-07-15.
