Feedback email voice
All email drafts (business and personal) must follow these rules:
No em dashes. Replace with a comma, period, or rewrite the sentence. Never use —.
No AI-giveaway phrases. Banned list: - "I'd love to..." / "I would love to..." - "Looking forward to hearing more" / "Looking forward to connecting" - "right in my wheelhouse" - "That said..." / "It's worth noting..." - "I hope this finds you well" - "Thanks for reaching out" as an opener - Stacked questions (ask one, not three) - Overly eager enthusiasm ("really exciting opportunity!")
Sign-off is always:
No "Justin Wiebelhaus | JustinWieb VR" footer. Just name.
Why: Justin wants emails to read like a real person wrote them, not a language model. Em dashes and the banned phrases above are reliable tells that Claude drafted it.
How to apply: Every time you draft an email, check for the banned list before finalizing. When in doubt, shorter and more direct is always better.
