Justin worked through dual-format (9:16 short + 16:9 long) capture math for Gus tank/outdoor content. Decided: open gate solves format math for static shots; walking choppiness is a separate stabilization problem (IBIS/EIS != gimbal). Confirmed BM Camera iPhone app records NO gyro data, so Gyroflow can't touch phone footage (Gyroflow works for Action 5 Pro + BRAW only). Outdoor fix: drop A7 IV (only wins low-light/bokeh), use phone gimbal (Osmo Mobile, zero crop) or Action 5 + Gyroflow. Next: optionally write reference_dual_format_capture.md.
