Handoff: CreatorTrack Ideas + Planner + Research v2, MERGED + DEPLOYED 2026-07-10

Status update (2026-07-10 midday): merged to main (89bf478) with Topbar conflict resolved against the 07-09 feature batch; all 5 migrations plus the audit branch's calendar migration applied to lifeos; audit/overnight-0709 merged (52a7ca4); main pushed to origin; prod redeployed on :3070. A later UX batch added the pill app switcher (Topbar) and per-app options sidebar. The "awaiting review" framing below is historical.

Date: 2026-07-10. Session: Fable coordinator over parallel workers (2 researchers, 5 implementers, 1 integrator, 2 polish).

State

  • Branch feat/ideas-planner-apps, worktree /home/justinwieb/forge-suite-wt/feat/ideas-planner-apps, 50 commits ahead of main, 88 files, +11,129 lines, tree clean, NOT merged, NOT deployed.
  • Dev slot: port 3062, DB ct_feat_ideas_planner_apps. Preview: http://100.97.43.104:3062 (workspace gus-outdoor-co-mr9xxzwy; ideas node 6205, planner 6206, research installed). Dev-slot reaper may stop the server after 45m idle; re-run forge_creatortrack_agent_bootstrap.sh feat/ideas-planner-apps 3062 (idempotent) to revive.

What shipped

  1. Content Ideas (node content-ideas): Kanban vault spark -> published + parked, quick capture, SidePeek Details|Packaging tabs, AI packaging (title variants, Creator Hooks 0-100 scoring, thumb concepts, hook + beats), expand/fuse/generate/repurpose endpoints, pillars + tags with filter bar, pillar manager, thumbnail gallery (real uploads), fake-browse YouTube preview (Home/Search/Mobile), embeddable segments board/backlog + capture/quick.
  2. Content Planner (node content-planner): WeekStrip + 7-day dnd grid, drop idea -> short = dated task, long = Project + Video Production pack (template id -2), best-time heatmap (own-channel Analytics or labeled benchmark), placeholders with convert-to-idea, pillar balance meter, gap chips, cadence widget, filter chips.
  3. Content Research (node content-research, NEW app): channel watchlist, outlier feed (views vs channel median, vidIQ-style brackets), brand/format/multiplier filters, save-as-spark, brainstorm-from-outlier, 6h freshness, fixture mode, clean no-YouTube-auth guidance.
  4. Link-in-Bio: published-grid block (snapshot config, click-tracked cells, featured slot), PublishedContent panel (published_url/date/perf editing, repurpose). Production publish action NEVER called during build.
  5. News: save-as-spark button on article rows.
  6. Chat tools: create_idea, list_ideas, generate_ideas in lib/chat.ts.

Merge checklist (prod)

  • Apply 5 migrations to lifeos after merge (deploy does NOT run them; all idempotent, standard forge_workspace_migrate.py): 20260710T032043 foundation, T044713 ideas AI + pillars, T044802 placeholders, T044915 research tables, T052433 links blocks_kind_check widen (REQUIRED before any published-grid block is saved in prod).
  • Optional env: IDEAS_CAPTURE_TOKEN for the bot capture route (501 until set). Capture-bot intent wiring lives forge-side, not built.
  • Known baseline lint (pre-existing idiom, not new): react-hooks/set-state-in-effect fetch-on-mount, registry.tsx unused imports.
  • Notable fix worth reading: createProjectFromTemplate requires explicit kind: "project" (commit 6da8b44); repurpose/brainstorm strict-JSON hardened with one retry + em-dash sanitize at the AI boundary (lib/ideas/sanitize-llm-text.ts).
  • Gates at finish: tsc 0 errors repo-wide, prod build green (webpack, isolated dist), cross-feature smoke 22/22, all test rows cleaned.

UX iteration batch (Justin feedback, 2026-07-10, commits 51-62)

  • Planner: WeekStrip centered + stretched (3-zone header grid), assignee dropdown (Tasks member roster, persists per workspace; schedule API takes assignedTo, long-form assigns all 5 pack tasks), rail search + format/pillar filters + sort + live count.
  • Ideas: new DEFAULT Brainstorm tab (Tasks-style rapid adder, flat all-ideas list, inline status advance, search/status/format/sort); Board unchanged as second tab.
  • All three apps: shared ContentSuiteSidebar (AppSidebar floating-card idiom, workspace-node links via new GET /api/research/suite-nav, active state, responsive rail/strip).
  • Research: save action now "Save as inspiration", tags ideas ["content inspiration"] with video URL in refs.
  • Gates re-run after batch: tsc 0 errors, prod build green, tree clean, 62 commits total.

Deferred / v3 candidates

Auto-fill week per cadence, repurpose long->shorts pipeline UI, AI image thumbnail drafts, similar-thumbnail search, niche alerts (needs notify wiring), YouTube OAuth-scoped channel audit, per-brand task-pack variants.
