Recommended for Our Build¶
Layout¶
Recommendation: ShopMy's tab-based grid layout with Creator Hero's theming depth. ShopMy's fully renameable, reorderable tab system is the most flexible creator-nav pattern. Pair with Creator Hero's approach of a full-width hero header + product grid below. Default to 3-column grid on desktop, 2-column on tablet, 1-column on mobile.
Product Cards¶
Recommendation: LTK-style tall portrait cards + ShopMy-style price + CTA overlay. Show: creator-uploaded image (primary), product title, retailer name, price, "Shop Now" button. Keep description off the card; move it to product detail page. Add a "Sale" badge layer. Support both portrait (lifestyle) and square (product) aspect ratios.
Category Navigation¶
Recommendation: Amazon 3-level nav + ShopMy custom tab naming. Top-level tabs creator-defines (e.g., "Favorites", "Home", "Skincare"). Sub-collections within each tab. Pinned "Featured" row at the top of each tab. No more than 6 top-level tabs.
Search and Filter¶
Recommendation: LTK's in-storefront search by brand + item + creator note keywords, plus photo/video toggle filter. Must-haves: search by keyword, filter by category, sort by newest/popular/price. Nice-to-have: AI-powered search (Phase 2).
Affiliate Link CTA¶
Recommendation: ShopMy's card-level "Shop [Retailer]" button + detail-page primary CTA. Show retailer name on the button ("Shop Amazon", "Shop Sephora") so shoppers know where they're going. Use a high-contrast CTA color. On product detail page, use a full-width "Buy at [Retailer]" button above the fold. Support Geolinking logic (route US vs non-US to different retailer URLs).
Wishlist / Save¶
Recommendation: ShopMy's model — shopper wishlists require account creation (drives signups); creator drafts for staging collections. Key insight from ShopMy: wishlisted products stay commissionable indefinitely. Implement the same: affiliate cookie/param preserved on wishlist click-out.
Creator Branding¶
Recommendation: Creator Hero's custom domain support + ShopMy's tab layout + full color theming. Each creator gets: custom URL slug (storefront.com/username or custom domain), avatar, banner, bio, accent color picker, and social link row. The platform's own logo should be minimal and co-branded ("Powered by [Platform]" footer only).
Mobile¶
Recommendation: Web-first responsive (not app-gated) like Creator Hero + ShopMy, with bottom tab navigation on mobile. LTK's app-first approach creates friction for initial discovery. Our storefront should be fully functional on mobile web. Bottom sticky nav bar on mobile (Home / Categories / Search / Profile). Product images must load fast: WebP format, lazy load, blur-up placeholder.
Analytics¶
Recommendation: LTK-level analytics dashboard for creators. Minimum: clicks, orders, revenue, conversion rate, top products, top posts. Separate view for per-product and per-campaign performance. Show commission pending vs paid. Export to CSV.
SEO¶
Recommendation: Shopify-style clean URL structure + JSON-LD Product schema.
URL pattern: /[creator]/[category]/[product-slug]. Each product detail page gets: unique title tag, meta description, Open Graph image, JSON-LD Product schema (name, price, availability, image). Creator storefront index page gets: title = "[Creator Name]'s Shop | [Platform]", meta description from bio. Sitemap auto-generated per creator.
Standout Feature to Build¶
Recommendation: ShopMy's Automatic Link Capture concept — any affiliate link shared by a creator auto-adds that product to their storefront. This is the biggest friction-reducer for creator adoption. Also: social post sync (pull Instagram/TikTok posts and auto-tag products). These two features alone differentiate from a static product grid.
